Toby is a recognized expert in strategic HR leadership, total rewards, HR compliance and HR M&A due diligence and  integration. With over two decades of experience across healthcare, banking, manufacturing, and private equity-backed ventures, she has led global compensation, benefits, and payroll functions for organizations ranging from Fortune 500s to high-growth startups.

As co-founder and Managing Director of HR Method, she advises businesses of all sizes on building resilient, ROI-driven HR infrastructures. Her track record includes award-winning wellness programs, successful post-merger integrations, and benefits strategies yielding demonstrated financial returns.

Toby holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from NYU Stern and a BA in Biology from Columbia University and the CEBS certification. She is known for her analytical rigor, strategic foresight, and ability to align people practices with business performance.

 

Berlin Streif, GPHR

Berlin is a seasoned human resources executive with over 20 years of experience driving strategic initiatives across HR business partnership, HRIS implementation, talent strategy, performance management, and organizational development. As Managing Director and founding member of HR Method, LLC, Berlin provides fractional HR leadership to purpose-driven leaders and growing organizations, delivering solutions anchored in strategic clarity, operational excellence, and emotional intelligence. Her approach combines strategic insight with a strong focus on culture and alignment.

Prior to co-founding HR Method, Berlin led global HRIS and talent transformation efforts in complex, high-tech environments, spearheading enterprise-wide initiatives that harmonized systems, performance, and organizational design. Her career spans influential leadership roles across diverse industries, consistently driving workforce strategy, leadership development, and scalable HR infrastructure across Fortune 500 and mid-sized organizations.

Berlin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Bowling Green State University and the GPHR certification for global HR professionals. She is widely recognized for her emotionally intelligent leadership, strategic foresight, and dedication to cultivating high-performing workplace cultures.
